Our Story

We are an environmentally ethical lifestyle brand that specialise in making homewares from retired crayfishing rope. This rope otherwise has the potential to become marine debris or contribute to landfill.

The Craftsman

Neddy Van Dyck is a Marine Scientist and Fisherman. He sources retired crayfishing rope from along the coast of Western Australia and hand weaves his products in Currumbin, Queensland.

The Rope

The rope is polyethylene rope used in the rock lobster / crayfishing industries. It is retired after a short season of use and purchased off professional fisherman or foraged for along the coastlines where it has become a hazardous ocean pollutant. The rope is water proof and mould resistant, as it is designed to last a life at sea.
